WHO ARE WE
The group Electric Drive Controls System at Volvo Cars is part of Propulsion Power System. We are responsible for delivering system solution and SW functionality for the Inverters in our electrified vehicles. Our vision is to deliver the best functionality in the market and continuously evolve our development platform. The group consist of 18 enthusiastic people with a mix of gender, ages and nationalities. High focus on collaboration and communication within the group and it is good cohesion between the group members. New members always get warm welcome, support and acceptance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As Sub Function Responsible engineer (SFR) you would be responsible to provide the software requirement for both in-house development team and supplier, take an active part in how our developers and suppliers interpret and implement the requirements. You would do follow-ups on existing designs in production to further develop software. In this position you would be the link between function developers and the teams who provide system requirement for the Inverters. Your domain area for this role will be in Torque Path and will work together with a colleague within the same field.
WHO ARE YOU
You have an education within Electrical engineering or equivalent work life experience with knowledge of development with Simulink/Matlab. You have the ability to prioritize between different tasks and to keep deadlines. You are comfortable with cooperating and communicate with people on different levels in the organization and you have a business oriented and flexible mind set. You are also structured, data driven and have good documentation skills. You speak fluently English and have a Driver license B.
You like to lead and inspire team members and are open for new perspective. Autosar and Scrum knowledge are great skills to bring into the team but is not a demand.
