www.engelska.se Internationella Engelska Skolan i Liljeholmen is looking for a Special Education Assistant to join our Special Educational team.
As a Special Education Assistant you will work closely with teachers and our special pedagogues to ensure that the students achieve their goals. If you believe that every child can go above and beyond no matter what, this presents an excellent opportunity for you.
We are looking for a confident and calm individual that has a background in working with ADHD, autism, and dyslexia and is able to uphold the calm, productive learning environment in our learning studio. You need to have a good ability to communicate with students, parents and colleagues, preferably in both Swedish and English.
The Role:
• Participate in the process of evaluating reading and writing difficulties.
• Carry out pedagogical mapping as instructed by your head of department.
• Take responsibility for communication with teachers, staff, parents and students. This involves meetings, planning, documentation and coordination.
• Organise and teach students on a 1 to 1 basis, both in the special education studio and in regular classrooms.
• Support with student "movement breaks", summer school, and national tests.
Requirements:
• You have patience and understanding
• You have strong teaching and coaching skills
• The Swedish language is a part of your repertoire
• You are a good communicator and relationship builder
• You are structured and organised
• You are driven and take responsibility
