www.titanx.comTitanX is strengthening its simulation department. As part of this process, we are looking for a Structural Engineer.
ROLE:
The successful candidate will:
• support customer application projects with FEA
• conciliate short-term customer application project needs with long-term, global simulation strategy
• contribute to continuous improvement of numerical simulation methods
• participate in technical discussions with our customers and suppliers
• take active part in information sharing through participation to internal FEA discussion forums
• rigorously document all work performed
The position is located in Linköping, Sweden, and may require up to 10% travelling.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• MSME or equivalent
• 3 to 6 years of industrial experience with strength and fatigue life calculations (forced harmonic and random vibrations, cyclic mechanical and thermo-mechanical loading)
• proven track record of validating FEA results with physical test data
• prior experience executing or supervising test campaigns is desirable
• prior exposition to the following is desirable: homogenization techniques, contact analysis, bolted, riveted, crimped, welded and brazed joints, rubber dampers and sealing gaskets, sheet metal forming, buckling
• good material knowledge and awareness of manufacturing processes influence on material properties
• basic programming knowledge
• critical thinker with strong quality mindset
• true team player, communicating effectively with specialists and non-specialists alike
• self-disciplined in meeting goals
• good communication skills in English
