We are responsible for securing attractive consumer offerings, both in terms of what we offer: cars and services, and how we offer them: a seamless consumer journey and development of the business model. At GCE, you are part of a global team and of the exciting journey towards a true premium position in the changing automotive environment - driven by digitization, autonomous driving, electrification and the sharing economy.
GCE is currently looking for a Strategy and Business Development Director to go the extra mile to lead, develop and drive change management projects of different kind. You will join a team comprised of experienced Volvo Cars marketers and top achievers recruited from outside the company. You will team up with your new colleagues and drive change management projects throughout various parts of the commercial organization, Strategy, Retail, Marketing, Product Management and IT. Your main responsibility is to drive long-lasting change for our company, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills and a willingness to push boundaries to make things happen. Being able to lead and communicate in a way that motivates others and supports our change journey is key for success in this role. You have high integrity, naturally question the status quo and are excited to bring in your experience in for the best of our company.
The environment is fast moving and challenging and includes daily contact with many of GCE's functions such as Strategy, Marketing, Retail, Vehicle Line Management (VLM), Product Strategy and IT. You will be part of the Strategy & Business development team, reporting to the Vice President Corporate Strategy & Project Office.
Main responsibilities
• Lead key strategic change projects within the commercial area of Volvo Cars
• Together with colleagues from across the organisation find viable solutions to make our change journey a reality
• Involve in our Corporate Strategy work - discuss and challenge our line functions to develop the long term aspired position, utilize learnings from other industries and convince others with your strategic thinking
• Summarise findings and present to relevant stakeholders
Required qualifications
• University degree
• 7-10 years of working experience, preferably from management consulting business or project management experience in a strategic change management environment
• Robust knowledge of retail/channel management or marketing is required
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Project management skills
• Good presentation skills
• Highly proficient in English - written and spoken

• Strategic mindset and an ability to balance strategic and operational work to set the right priorities
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and networks
• Strong personal drive with an ability to inspire and challenge others
• High level of integrity and professionalism
