About the job
In this role, you will lead the strategical purchasing activities for assigned material/service category (ies) according to the Seco Procurement Guidelines and KPI's. You identify, lead and manage sourcing projects and cases as well as negotiations with selected strategic suppliers within the assigned categories.
Further responsibilities include:
Developing and maintaining Category strategies in area of responsibility or in support to the Global Category Manager
Leading and managing sourcing projects as well as negotiating contracts
Creating and following implementation of contracts
Establishing relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers
Measuring supplier performance
Supporting issue resolution
Being accountable for master data, with supplier and price information considered
Leading and participating in Supplier Relationship Management activities with strategic suppliers
Cooperating with SMS units and Sandvik AB when applicable
You're preferably located in Fagersta, Sweden but flexible to other cities. Some travel may occur.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with business acumen, having a relevant degree, preferably a master's, in either business, economy or a similar line of education or equivalent practical experience working in a similar role. You're a proven, skillful negotiator and have a passion for purchasing, knowing Office 365, potentially M3 as ERP system (can only be a plus). Since we act in an international environment, we appreciate if you can be proficient in both English and Swedish, in written and verbal form.
We put a lot of emphasis on your personality, especially on your social skills! You have high agency and prominent interpersonal as well as communication skills - complementing this is your agility and drive for results and willingness to adapt in an ever-changing environment.
