For Sandvik Coromant and our Inserts Production in Gimo, we're now looking for a flexible, collaborative and forward-thinking Strategic Purchaser who wants to contribute to our business with new ideas, team spirit and great results. We offer you a broad and exciting role in a global setting, with a large network and many opportunities for advancement. Join us and create sourcing excellence!

Sandvik Coromant is a market-leading manufacturer of products for metal cutting, and we employ over 1 400 brilliant minds. Development is in our DNA and we're proud to create solutions that truly shape the future of manufacturing. Our facilities in Gimo is a great place to work, just a short stop from cities like Uppsala and Gävle, and the production site is a renowned high technology facility with major focus on sustainability. Although for this position, you could also be based at our production site in Västberga, Stockholm.

About the job
In this position, you lead and manage efficient sourcing strategies for Facility Management (FM), Maintenance Repair and Operations (MRO) as well as CAPEX, and you do this in close collaboration with our Category Manager. You take responsibility for the whole sourcing process - from RFQ and contract negotiations, to implementation and follow up. An important step in your work is developing an optimized supplier base, and you continually explore new possible suppliers and evaluate the performance of our current ones. You proactively identify opportunities for cost savings and engage stakeholders in this process, and you analyze savings and spending, perform cost and scenario studies and benchmark towards other industries. You also drive strategic purchasing decisions, support investments projects and manage supplier development and innovation in alignment with our vision and guidelines.

A key part of the job is of course to actively collaborate with your internal stakeholders within FM, MRO and CAPEX and understanding their needs, and you maintain excellent relationships with external suppliers. Other items on your agenda include driving standardization of purchasing best practices, processes, and procedures. To keep our momentum and stay ahead of competition, you're always on the lookout for innovations and improvements that could develop our processes and ensure a higher performance.

About you
You have a relevant academic degree and preferably a master's within Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar - but equally important is your solid work experience from comparable roles within purchasing or supplier management. Experience from production environments, and from working with investments and acquisitions, is highly beneficial. You're a skilled negotiator, who works both detailed and efficient to close deals, evaluate suppliers and find improvements, and you easily manage our many stakeholders. You're comfortable with figures and with collecting, analyzing and interpreting data. You're also an excellent user of the applications within Office 365, and knowledge of SAP or eGos is a plus. Since we're a global business with local presence, you need good communication skills in both English and Swedish.

Being structured and detailed, combined with your business mind and a truly networking personality, are your keys to success in this role. You love a shifting environment where you get to develop, collaborate, drive change and setting our ways of working, and you're both socially confident and communicative as you connect with others. By taking ownership for your projects and having a genuine desire to understand the needs of your stakeholders, you challenge us in finding the best and most valuable agreements for our business.

We honestly believe that our diversities lead to a successful business environment, and we're looking forward to meeting you. Meanwhile, if you want to know more about Sandvik Coromant, we recommend a visit on our website, LinkedIn or Facebook page.
