a Strategic Purchaser with focus on Packaging and Production Consumables (used in Höganäs' production), who would like to be part of our team!
We are looking for you
who have a relevant university degree in economics/logistics or similar and have a minimum of five years of working experience, preferably from a similar position with similar products. You posses excellent communication skills and have excellent English skills in speech and writing. You have a wide commercial and business interest. You are a team player who actively engage people by sharing, helping or asking for help when needed.
As a person you are proactive, transparent, performance and result oriented. You have high integrity and ethical standards. Technical knowledge in the field of the responsibility and good computer literacy (ERP systems and Microsoft Office) are required.
About the position
The position is located at Höganäs Sweden AB in Höganäs in Sweden. As a strategic purchaser, you are part of the Direct Materials' team (including three other strategic purchasers and one operative purchaser) and report to the Purchasing Manager Direct Materials. You are fully responsible for sourcing of Packaging and Production Consumables (such as refractories and electrodes) to Höganäs' Swedish units.
The role covers identifying and leading strategic sourcing initiatives within the scope of the portfolio and optimizing the supplier base to meet the company's current and future needs. Furthermore, you evaluate and develop the business in line with the company's principles and values. Other tasks include negotiation and closing agreements to reach lowest overall cost and to minimize the risk of supply. You engage in the team's responsibilities and success. Due to the character of the portfolio, the role also covers some operative and tactical duties.
Traveling is to some extent required - about 15-30 days/year.
Portfolio responsibilities can change over time.
The headquarters, where you will be located, is located in beautiful Kullabygden and is next to both the sea and the Kullaberg nature reserve, which gives you the opportunity of having an active free time. Larger cities like Copenhagen, Malmö and Helsingborg, with all that they can offer, are only a short bus or train ride away.
