The Strategic Purchaser for HemoCue is strategically responsible for selected categories including development and implementation of purchasing strategies as well as responsibility for suppliers within the category. This position is critical to the support of the corporate year-over-year annual cost improvement goals and Supplier Risk Management. The Strategic Purchaser will also be responsible for managing stakeholder relationships externally with suppliers and with various business functions internally as Operations, R&D, Finance, Sales and Marketing etc. The goal is to build those relationships in order to understand their supply base needs to be able to pair our internal customer demands with supplier solutions to ensure a sustainable competitive advantage.
This position is part of Procurement located in Ängelholm. At HemoCue, our vision is to do things easier, to do things better, and to do them right.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Develop and implement strategies for selected categories and be HemoCue's point of contact for the suppliers and total Cost of Ownership for selected categories.
Negotiate supplier contracts for Direct and/or Indirect Materials
Supply Risk Management for selected categories
Lead or participate in cross-functional projects to continuously improve processes and tools and to contribute to the fulfillment of HemoCue's strategic targets. I.e., Participate in New Product Development projects to drive Supplier selection and material cost optimization.
Supply Relationship Management & Development for suppliers in selected categories

The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree Engineering, Finance, or Logistics
5+ years' experience as a Strategic Purchaser or Sourcing Engineer
Knowledge about standards and/or regulations affecting the quality management system.
Knowledge about standards and/or regulations affecting the environmental management system.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
