Position Description
We are looking for a Strategic Lead Buyer, who will support Global Strategy development and implementation. You will function as a coach to other buyers to lead and develop the strategies. In the role you will manage an electronic & electromobility portfolio and assigned various strategic projects to lead. Responsibilities:
• Develop expertise within several segments/commodities (market, suppliers, competition, technologies, projects etc.)
• Drive development of global segment/commodity strategies and ensure implementation
• Lead proactive supplier development activities in order to secure cost, quality & delivery
• Coach the buyers in developing and implementing segment strategies
• Support the buyers in high level negotiations and contractual agreements and run sourcing and resourcing activities to develop the portfolio and supplier base
• Work in accordance with the Volvo Penta processes, the Volvo Way, and the Volvo values and behaviours

Qualifications:
• University degree preferably in engineering and/or business
• Good knowledge in English and Swedish, both written and spoken
• Experience from Purchasing and sourcing, minimum 6 years
Personal skills:
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Result-oriented approach, good interpersonal skills and business oriented
• Strong problem solving ability
• Team player and self-starter with a strong drive
