A global organization for Strategic Account Management (SAM) is in place within Sandvik Coromant to improve focus on and increase speed within this key area. The objective is to leverage our cross-boarder customers for business growth and win-win relationships, close to customer's global setting. We are now looking for a Strategic Account Manager - Automotive, for our Strategic & Global Account Management (SGAM) department. The location of this position is flexible in Europe, preferably in Sweden or in the nearby area.

Key performance areas
As Strategic Account Manager for selected customers, you are responsible for managing sales of new, innovative, complex products and service solutions to our sales network and our customers. In order to comply with Sandvik Coromant's strategy, you use customized business plans and contribute to achieving agreed targets for assigned strategic customers, including following up on business results and initiating measures where there are deviations from targets. You handle new business opportunities, coordinating activities and planning, and facilitate the global communication and collaboration between our own and our customer's various functions. You negotiate and implement commercial agreements and partnership agreements with our customers, and therefore it is important that you actively build a network and relationship with our key customers and partners.

This role requires extensive international travel.

We are looking for someone with a degree in mechanical engineering and manufacturing, preferably including a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or relevant work experience and internal training. A successful history in management positions in an international environment is essential for this position, including delivering good business results and successful negotiation of commercial terms and conditions with industrial customers. A minimum of five years' experience of sales management or key account management and experience in the metal cutting industry, are also required. This experience is to include managing customer requests, stakeholder management and business issues within a complex, global matrix organization. A prior focus on Automotive's business is advantageous and, as your work is conducted in an international setting, strong English communication skills, in both writing and speaking, are a prerequisite for this position. Skills in Swedish are an advantage.
