Do you have great negotiation skills and a strong technical know how? Would you like to work with one of the largest packaging manufacturers in the Nordic countries? We offer you an exciting position in a cost-conscious and very expansive company. Your main mission is back office purchasing technological equipment and investment goods.
Work description
The main responsibility is to manage all purchase requirements for JD Stenqvist AB which can consist of supplements to production, maintenance, building, machine spare parts and investment goods. Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, and deliveries for suppliers and subcontractors assigned. Build up a network and relationship with suppliers. Purchase and issue an order in accordance to specification and company policies through an internal software system. All purchase orders are to be processed via our system and be approved prior to placement by Plant Manager or CEO.
You will work in very close cooperation with our German colleagues at headquarters; there will be communication with them on daily basis. With focus on cost, all purchase orders are cross checked with our German headquarters for the best price. All major decisions are to be approved by the owner and CEO directly. You will work in a smaller team, where each member has their own areas of responsibilities. Location: Kvidinge
Your qualifications
We are looking for a purchaser with a strong technical background and practical experience in mechanical operation in industrial environment. Great cost-consciousness is required.
Your educational background is preferably technical knowledge and secondary schools. More focus on practical mechanical operations than academic/theoretical background. You must have at least a few years experience in a similar work or has been working in a technical department and has good negotiation skills and desire to work with purchase. Language requirements are Swedish and English fluently. Desirable German in verbal and writing. You are comfortable in Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel. Desirable: AS400. Driver's license is a must.
Your profile
Strong technical skills and interest in purchasing and communication to third parties is important.
You have very good negotiation skills and have strong structured and planning ability. We also appreciate that you are self-driven, flexible and proactive. Suitable personality type and skill set is necessary for the role.
