Are you interested in becoming part of the statistics group at AstraZeneca R&D Mölndal. Biometrics & Information Sciences are now looking for Statisticians for consultant assignments with start as soon as possible.
As a statistician in clinical development you are expected to provide statistical expertise in the design, planning, evaluation and documentation of clinical studies and programs in all phases of clinical development.
AstraZeneca is a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialization of small molecule and biologic prescription medicines, pioneering innovative research and exploring novel pathways across key therapeutic areas, including respiratory, inflammation and autoimmunity; cardiovascular and metabolic disease; oncology; neuroscience; and infection and vaccines.
The consulting assignment will start as soon as possible and go on for 6 months to start with.

Arbetsuppgifter
As a statistician in clinical development you are expected to provide statistical expertise in the design, planning, evaluation and documentation of clinical studies and programs in all phases of clinical development. This will also include work of more exploratory nature, e.g. modeling and simulation, as well as other means to improve internal decision making. Dependent on your experience you might also be expected to contribute to more strategic planning, act as expert contact to our external collaborators, coach more junior staff and be part of the department's adaption and development of statistical methodology.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Required Background
Minimum MSc in Mathematical Statistics, Statistics, Biostatistics or similar subject with a strong focus on statistics.
Good collaboration, communication and influencing skills.
Good written and spoken English.
Desired Additional Background or Skills
One or more of the following is an advantage:
Higher academic degree.
Experience from drug development or other related fields.

A successful candidate has interest and ability to communicate statistical matters to other experts as well as interest in the application of statistical methodology in pharmaceutical development.
