Your mission will be supporting costumers to upgrade their products to Special Steels by helping them in their choices of design, production and quality. You will work according to and support SSAB 's short and long term strategic goals. Location can be discussed, can be either Tallin, Helsinki or Oxelösund. Intensive traveling is part of the role.

About the position
The Technical Development Manager position requires creating and deploying a joint strategy with Sales to achieve the sales growth SSAB Special Steels has in the region. In parallel, the TDM is responsible for training the members of his local on product and applications. The role requires extensive colaboration with many different departments int the company, from Production to Business Development.
Traveling 3 weeks every month is required in this position.
Main responsibilities
To contribute to the Special Steels Sales strategy and develop sales through technical support in the Sales Area.
Development and coaching of the Regional Sales Managers through training on products and their applications, support in daily work.
Define the strategic goals and growth opportunities with the Area Sales Manager, secure yearly sales with existing and potential customers.
Develop the network of partnerships with key customers allowed to use SSAB Special Steels branding.
About You
You have minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant industrial field, preferably related to material choice and application. Experience in mining or mechanical design are good starting points too.
A university degree in Engineering. Prefered fields; Mechanical Engineer, Material Engineer, Metallurgical Engineer or Mining Engineer.
Management, leadership, business strategy skills.
Experience in value added sales processes.
We are looking for someone with social skills, used to travel often and proactive in goal setting and achievement.
Presentation, communication and negotiation skills in Baltic languages, Finnish and English - Russian is meriting.
