We are looking for a Business Development Manager that will be based in Oxelösund, Sweden. In this role, you will be part of a global, innovative, and dynamic team working with expanding the market for SSAB Special Steels.
SSAB is a highly specialized steel company. We develop high-strength steels that make products lighter and increase their strength and lifespan. SSAB is leading the decarbonization of the steel industry and we are the first steel company to produce fossil free steel. You will play an important role in developing our business together with our sales team. Our mission is to expand the market with our strategy as the guidance. This can be done in many ways, exploring existing/new applications and segments as well as new business opportunities and new leads.
Apart from sales you will work closely to marketing but also to our technical experts within Knowledge service center, Technical Development managers and Product managers.
The position requires some traveling.
About the position
As Business Development Manager, you will:
• Support growth towards Main Stream Sales as well as the Aftermarket
• Explore and realize opportunities more long term and when ready, hand over to sales
• Identify activities in the whole chain that will improve our business such as more sales, higher profit and/or more effective ways of working
• Support, but also challenge, sales with business development related tasks, such as market analyses, market sizing and strategy deployment etc.
About You
• You ideally have a master's degree in Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• It is an advantage if you have some years of experience that have given you a good market understanding and/or a good understanding of a production site
• Fluent in English with good communication skills, both verbal and written
• As a person, you are positive and solution oriented, with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently to deliver results
• To be successful in this role, we believe that you can build trust, have good communication and networking skills
