The Senior Clinical Consultant will utilize his/her therapeutic knowledge and expertise of dialysis therapies to contribute to the development of new renal products for the global market. This position will work collaboratively with the Director Medical Affairs and the Global Medical Lead in the Renal Therapeutic Area and be a Therapeutic Area representative in Core Teams both for New Product Development projects and for Sustaining Products
Specific responsibilities include the following:
• Provide clinical input into product development and sustaining product projects to include product design, design changes, product and therapy risk assessment, support regulatory submission, perform literature reviews, support labeling and training material development.
• Collaborate and support cross functional work in the areas of Design Control, Design Changes, Regulatory Submissions and Risk Management
• Ensure actions are in compliance with Baxter policies and procedures, Regulatory (Health Authority) requirements and guidelines and in support of global business objectives.
• Contribute to projects in the role of core team member as requested by project need
• Function as a clinical therapy ?expert? either directly or through soliciting input from other resources within Baxter.
• Recognize, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with stakeholders.
• Utilize analytical and problem solving skills to assess issues, identify corrective actions and monitor effectiveness.
• Utilize project management skills to facilitate and/or lead assigned initiatives to accomplish high quality deliverables within established timelines.
Qualifications
• Nurse or other medical qualifications or Bachelor of Science
• Strong clinical background in renal replacement therapies (minimum 3 of years experience).
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Capable of handling technical information from a variety of disciplines
• Demonstrated analytical, problem solving skills.
• Oriented to Quality Systems, conceptually as well as demonstrated practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability work in cross-functional teams and to manage conflict situations.
• Ability to maintain effectiveness under changing circumstances and priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills required.
• Able to thoroughly document assessments and recommendations.
• Comfortable working on projects with heightened visibility.
• Has a track record of delivering on commitments.
• Knowledge base of Baxter-Gambro Renal products is strongly preferred.
