The group Engine Mounted Cooling System is part of the department Propulsion Energy Systems and the section Exhaust & Cooling System. The operation of Cooling System is divided into two groups working closely together (Chassis- and Engine mounted cooling system) in order to provide complete cooling systems to all engine and car projects at Volvo Car Group. Cooling system is a fundamental area in respect to thermal management and C02 reduction. We work in close cooperation with our suppliers and the different car and engine projects. We deliver complete system to new car projects and to current running production and have the total responsibility for the complete cooling system in the car.
As System Project leader for cost saving and quality problem you will lead a team that handles all Cost saving and Quality items within Exhaust and Cooling.
The main part of the job will be to lead, support and follow up within the team that consist of 3-4 Group Design leaders (GDL) and if needed other expert within Cooling and Exhaust.

Main responsibilities
* Deliver solution on quality problem according to agreed time plan and cost
* Deliver cost savings according to targets
* Be the Cooling and Exhaust organiser to find new cost saving items
* Present appropriate material for presentation at Project-, Line- or similar meeting:
+ Status report on GTM, STM and MP2 meeting
+ Arrange cost saving event with competitor cars/parts, line walk in production etc.
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. grade within mechanics or a similar education
* Knowledge of Product Development processes
* Understand English both spoken and written
* Driving license B
Meritorious qualifications
* Knowledge of Product Development Processes within Cost saving & quality problem workflow Driving license B
* Experience of Six Sigma
* Knowledge of Volvo systems eg. KDP, TCE, VPC, Lotus Notes

* Communication skills and easily to connect with others
