Within the function After Market Technology we have an opening for two Spare Part Engineers for Embedded Software (SPE ESW) to our team at Spare Part Engineering and Information (SPEI) in Gothenburg. The Embedded Software team is a small and highly skilled team who are working with securing aftermarket software availability for Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Volvo Bus, Eicher, and Prevost.
As a SPE ESW you will be active in the complete product development chain as well as supporting existing products in the market. You will work in vehicle development projects that are run on all the AMT sites Gothenburg, Ageo, Bangalore, Curitiba, Greensboro and Lyon.
One of the SPE ESW we are looking for will after being introduced to the operation take on the responsibility to drive and improve the existing processes. This work will take about 20% of your time.

Your responsibility will be:
You will have an autonomous role in the complete development chain from early concept phases to releasing a completed product. In this chain you will be responsible for the aftermarket software solution and validation. You will also be responsible to support customers on the field with software needs and case handling, including root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
We believe that you have a M.Sc. or B.Sc. preferably within electrical or software engineering. You have excellent interpersonal skills and your work is known as analytic and precise. You are a person who likes to take initiatives and have a strong drive for result. It is important that you are business and customer oriented and since we are operating in a global environment you must be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Experience from software handling is an advantage as well as experience from the automotive aftermarket. Previous experience of the Volvo systems as KOLA, Configurator and GLOPPS will also be considered a merit. If you furthermore have a background from working in an international and multi-cultural environment you will be in good position for the task.
If you are applying for the role that includes process responsibility it is important that you have the basic understanding of process development. If you also have experience of working with Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) it will be considered a merit.
