At the heart of Majorna stands the old Carnegie Porter brewery, now a four-star, full-service hotel with character. Hotel Waterfront Göteborg is your port of call for celebrations with family and friends, relaxation and business meetings. The restaurant affords magnificent views of Älvsborg Bridge and the open sea. International guests and Gothenburgers alike come together here to eat a simple meal, do business or throw grand parties.
The restaurant is open all year round and offers well-made meals for any taste. It can accommodate up to 200 guests and the reception room can take groups of up to 100 people.

As a Sous chef you will work alongside our Head chef, manage daily kitchen activities including overseeing staff and aid with menu preparation.

Your work tasks will include
Lead kitchen team in the Head chef's absence
Work with head chef to maintain kitchen organization, staff ability, and training opportunities
Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members, including, but not limited, to line cooking, food preparation, and dish plating
Assist Head Chef with menu Creation
Oversee and organize kitchen stock and ingredients
Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system and verifie all food products are properly dated and organized for quality assurance
Keep cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
Manage food and product ordering by keeping detailed records and minimise waste, Supervise all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant standards
