We're looking for a passionate Sourcing Specialist and Team Leader to our Sourcing Department in Parts Distribution & Logistics, Alfa Laval Distribution Center Tumba.So, what are you going to do today?
Who you are
Sourcing is working within Alfa Laval Parts distributions centers and has the responsibility for sourcing activities and developing suppliers. For this group, we are looking for a Sourcing Specialist/team lead with experience in working with sourcing to be part of the local team in DC Tumba. The person works 80% of the time with team task and 20% on the role as leader for the task. About the jobYou will primarily be responsible for working with supplier consolidation and re-sourcing. You will also be responsible for a number of appointed suppliers and secure development as well as performance. You will be working in close cooperation with Global commodity management on the global suppliers and with your colleagues in the local office teams.
In addition to be a member in the team you will also have a role as Team Leader, where you will be a link between the team, support functions and UM. Support team members with immediate problem solving, able to coordinate, motivate and coach people.
Your work tasks as Sourcing Specialist:
Supplier consolidation
Re-sourcing to preferred suppliers
Negotiations (including bracket pricing) with suppliers on cost, quality and lead-time
Developing contracts with suppliers
Supplier development activities
Reporting and follow up
Through structured work ensure a stable and predictable output of our processes, and be active in developing the processes
Communication and close cooperation with internal customers, R&D, Product centers, Global Sourcing and suppliers
Actively support Office teams through ALPS processes and problem resolution
Your work tasks as Team Leader:
Support the individual team member on demand
Secure that the team work towards the goals and activities
Be a link between the team, support functions and UM
Good knowledge of the key process and tools
Secure the team delivers right support to the organization
When needed, support the team members with immediate problem solving
What you knowIn cooperation with the team you are working towards our goals. You are an active player in the team and have the will to make a difference in driving performance improvements at our supplier. As a person, you are robust, pro-active, loyal and take responsibility for action. You want to be part of a well-functioning team and contribute positively to your team. You are good a building relations and cooperate internal as well as external to suppliers. Also, you:
Have practical experience within procurement and you are a natural negotiator
You are focused on delivering results
It comes natural for you to manage many activities/projects simultaneously
Work analytical, structured and independent
Technical skills will be of advantage
Are Experienced user of Excel and it would be beneficial if you have experience from lean/Six Sigma and Movex
Are Fluently in English written and oral
There will be approximately 30 travel days per year in this role.
