Given this, we are looking for new talent in the Commodity IT and Services team.

Job Description

The main objective will be to source solutions according to the company's needs at the best achievable Cost, Quality, Delivery, and Sustainability while considering the latest available Technology.

In this strategic position, you will work closely with our IT, Production, and Logistic organizations but you will be part of aligning the company's needs across multiple functions in order to cooperate and drive the tender processes. You will also lead supplier negotiations, present results to decision boards, and conclude commercial agreements to create the best value for Scania. This is often in close cooperation with Traton and Volkswagen and active participation in the different internal stakeholder organizations is necessary to reach the best results and to make a difference.

This job also gives a great opportunity to get in touch with new technologies and new business models while at the same time enabling initiatives for a lot of different improvement opportunities within the team and at Scania.

Your profile

We believe that you are passionate about the work as a purchaser and that you have previous experience from it or from a related business area as well as a university degree. If you have experience with software or related services that is a merit.

We also appreciate it if you:

• Have a true commercial drive
• Feel comfortable presenting business cases in top management meetings
• Are a great teammate and have natural leadership skills
• Are comfortable studying agreements of different kinds
• Loves to think strategically and follow through until the result

It would also be great if you like to work independently and have great social skills with the ability to develop and maintain a broad network of supplier contacts as well as interfaces within Scania and the Group.

The Team

We are nine people on the team with different backgrounds, ages, and education. To fit in you are probably comfortable expressing your opinion, questioning current ways, and pitching your ideas openly but most important you are open-minded.
