In this role you will take a top down approach to analyze, make proposals, and detect matters and vulnerabilities in this enterprise application. You will also guide, advise and present recommendations on the current J2EE architecture. You will act as SME Subject Matter Expert for all J2EE initiatives. You will report directly to the CTO. This also cover help identify issues and resolve integration problems. This individual will need to look at what has been already deployed and hands-on assists in troubleshoot at a technical level. Required experience
Must have a strong background in Java/J2EE architecture and must have a consultative approach with a proven record of successful take initiatives and self-propelled in area of the following:
• 8+ years of experience in J2EE applications and development.
• 2+ years experience architecting distributed scalable enterprise applications and integration.
• 4+ years experience in requirement definition and solution design.
• Knowledge of JVM performance tuning.
• Experienced with Hibernate, Jboss, Rabbit MQ and performance of ORM layer.
• Strong skills in analysis, design and programming.
• Ability to understand, maintain, and improve legacy code running in production environments.
• Solid understanding of OOD, design patterns, and multi-tier architecture for web applications.
• Familiarity with one of Java web development frameworks as well as one of test frameworks.
• Experience of SOAP (legacy API) and Restful API to external systems.
• Hands-on experience with MySQL database, but we prefer NoSQL
• Working knowledge of open source technologies, Linux, Apache, Tomcat, Eclipse, PHP.
• Familiarity with broad spectrum of UI design, cross-browser optimization/ enhancement, and Web Services APIs.
Essential Functions
• Development of high-level solution design, for application & systems and evaluations.
• Leading reviews of design concepts and creation of technical design documentation
• Developing initial estimates for solution alternatives and making solution recommendations to stakeholder.
• Evaluations of existing applications for reuse and sharing in the enterprise.
• Integrated systems planning and alternative technologies recommendation
• Directing/conducting the analysis of current business processes and functional requirements and creating needed documentation.
• Being a project lead in the coordination of solution development and implementation
• Being a liaison between business clients and technical staff and/or with development staff throughout the development life cycle on complex projects
• Systems Performance & capacity analysis
• Ability to work under pressure and produce results in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills.
• Ability to learn fast and adapt to ever-changing environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a positive and a can-do attitude.
• Strong personal commitment to building clean software, of topmost quality
• Proven ability to be able to work with minimal direction.
