Digital Channels at Volvo Group Connected Solutions are responsible for designing and developing the digital ecosystem composed of Customer Portal, Marketplace, Developer Portal and Connected Services Support Portal to enable our users to perform their daily transport logistics operations providing a premium experience. Together with our partners and customers we create value through fantastic user experience and business enhancing services and products.
The role
As the Solution Architect, you will ensure that solutions meet business needs and are compatible with existing architectures. You will own and drive the technical and architectural decisions for your product team. You value simplicity and are willing to challenge technical constraints and procedures to achieve robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions. You will be the visionary force behind the technical solutions and are responsible for planning and developing the architectural runway in collaboration with the VGCS global architecture forum.
If you want to be part of our exiting journey and awesome team, we have an opportunity right here! We are now looking for a skilled Solution Architect within Digital Channels.
You will work in close collaboration together with 2 development teams, Product Owners, User Experience Experts and Business Analysts. You will be responsible to drive the technical and architectural activities within different initiatives and coordinate the overall solution regarding the architectural deliverables. You will be responsible for Customer Portal areas and work closely with both internal and external stakeholder which requires you to be an expert at communication. You will also own and drive solution in product teams, take an overall view and support in technical decision making that can impact other solutions/products.
Moreover:
Design the overall technological architecture of the Customer Portal products with the help of the teams and Digital Channel Architect, steered by the strategy and vision of the digital product manager.
Responsible to propose the most optimal architectural design for the Customer Portal product area including improvements.
Ensure solutions that are maintainable, scalable and align to the VGCS enterprise policies as defined by the architectural guidelines & standards
Be part and/or lead pre-studies on features for future business models to determine and shape integrations that will be used in the years to come
Ensuring that business and user needs are combined with solid technical solution
Taking the role as a leader within your competence area and act as a mentor
Identify and remove technical impediments, in collaboration with the Digital Channels Architects and VGCS Architect forum
Work close with Product Oner and Product Manager to align the roadmap with strengths and opportunities within the technical stack
Constantly work with improving the Digital product/service/platform, not afraid to challenge the status quo
Provide the teams with policies and guidelines regarding software engineering practices to ensure stability, scalability, and performance

Many years of experience as Enterprise/Solution Architect in an international environment
Capable to drive and lead a technical pre-study of an initiative
Knowledge in micro service architecture (Amazon Web Services)
A global and agile mindset with strong customer focus
Great communication skills
Experience in DevOps methodologies and Continuous Deployment
Ability to inspire and motivate individuals and teams
Fluent in English - both written and spoken
Valid work-permit for Sweden, if not EU-citizen
