Appear is looking for a highliy skilled software usability engineer / interaction designer based in Kista, Sweden.
Publiceringsdatum2009-12-23Dina arbetsuppgifterAs a software usability engineer / interaction designer you will work closely with the product owner to translate complex functional and technical requirements from a detailed product roadmap to build simple, easy to understand user interfaces for implementation. In this role it’s required that you define and maintain user interfaces within mobile environments (work force, consumer) and administration interfaces that can change in synchronization to ever changing business needs. You will be an active and essential member of the development team of 6 to 10 developers focusing on user interaction design and implementation of new features and enhancements through the complete software development life-cycle from design, implementation, testing and product delivery.
Utbildning/erfarenhet
Qualifications
• bachelors degree in human computer interaction or related field.
• more than five years experience in designing, creating and testing user interfaces in a software company
• experience working with agile development methodologies (Scrum and/or Kanban)
• ability to see how parts interact as a whole (big picture thinking)
• familiarity with usability heuristics and relevant HCI literature
• good understanding of mobile platforms, in particular Windows Mobile
• good understanding and extensive experience of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, Ajax framework, CSS et al)
• basic knowledge in Java and JSP
• solid problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
• ability to interpret product requirements accurately
• the precision of an artist and the passion of a scientist
• willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business requirements
• advanced oral and written communication skills in English.
