GTO Quality & Engineering is a global function that develops product and process solutions, leading to operational excellence. More specific, following areas are our key focus:

• Develop long-term plans and strategies for Quality & Environment to deliver on Volvo/ GTO commitments
• Lead the development of global strategies and plans for manufacturing processes
• Establish clear product requirements and be the interface to Global Trucks Technologies
• Develop and implement global way of working within Quality and Engineering
• Develop global expertise and resources in critical competence areas
• Act in close co-operation with GTO Plants to efficiently develop and deliver services and products with the right Quality, Delivery time and Cost.
SWEE Sweden
Within Software and electrical we have 4 different roles:

• SWPC (Software process controller)
• SW TPE (Software technical preparation engineering)
• EL TPE (Electrical technical preparation engineering)
• MTS ESW, Architecture and Product communication and Virtualization
We are now looking for a SW TPE (Software Technical preparation engineer), in this role you will be reporting to the director SWEE Sweden

• Main interface towards GTT engineering in the DVP process for embedded software
• Specify requirements for assigned responsibility area
• Give specification input on tools need for the operation GTO process
• Identify product impact on current process and inform GTO LTS (Local Technology Specialist)
• Provide product information for analyzing the impact on process solution
• Assure product compliance with GTO technical requirements for the project
• Evaluate and recommend product concepts related to ESW
• Participate in coordination activities with global stakeholders
• Provide input to fault analysis and product problem solutions
• Maintain and develop knowledge in area of responsibility
• Design, develop and verify tests and calibrations in production
• using ESW handling tool (Prosit+), for both new product development and maintenance
• Review and interpret technical documentation considering compliance with legal demands, existing manufacturing processes and strategies, to identify needs and impact on production

Competence Profile & Qualifications

• University degree in Electronics or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience
• Minimum 3-5 years of automotive experience from engineering or manufacturing
• Good understanding of vehicle electronics and ESW
• Knowledge about DVP, tools and processes is relevant
• Knowledge in Volvo systems and tools such as Kola and Prosit+
• Fluent in English
