Danfoss' Software Solution Services in Älmhult is now seeking a Software Quality and Functional Safety Expert for supporting our software development projects.
As a member of a globally organized team, the Software Quality and Functional Safety Expert will run Software Quality reviews and Functional Safety assessments using best practices on selected software projects with local representation.
With process follow up in projects and process improvements in general, the role of the SQFS contributes to transform the requirements and techniques from international quality and safety standards into projects for embedded software development, acting as a partner for the development teams.
Dina arbetsuppgifter
As Software Quality and Functional Safety Expert (SQFS) you are responsible for Software Quality and Functional Safety in selected Software Solution Services, Software products and projects. You bring in good knowledge on the area of Software Quality and Functional Safety, and you are able to address Quality requirements in embedded software development projects.
You will work on Software Quality Assurance, follow up on SW defects, maintain related documentation in defect management systems, and perform on demand 8D projects for problem solving on software defects. Maintenance of quality metrics are a typical part of Software Quality assurance work.
In the role as Functionals Safety Manager for selected development projects and products, you will work with Functional Safety Management Plans, review the safety requirements and preform Functional Safety Assessements. As SQFS you will continously support the growith of the knowledge base in software teams by performing functional safety trainings.
With your experiences and lesson learned out of the development projects and with input from International Quality Standards, you will contribute to the continous improvement of the certified Software Development and Project Management Process, which is our backbone of the Software Quality System.
Organizationally you will report to Manager Quality and Business Processes QBP. The vacancy is based in Älmhult.
Din profil
As SQFS you ideally have a master of science in software engineering and you have worked as software engineer for some years. You are passionate about Software Quality, which is the prerequisite for Software Security and Functional Safety. You are result-oriented with strong analytical skills, and you maintain a holistic approach, combined with the necessary ability to identify essential details. You are a true problem solver and you always have the business and the customer in focus.
You show willpower, drive and you enjoy working in a fast pace environment, focused on quality. You have an open mindset and you are flexible with the ability to stay calm in critical situations. You are a true teamplayer, leading by example, and you have the ability to intercommunicate with customers, colleagues and stakeholders on all levels.
Qualification requirements
• Bachelors of Science degree in Software Engineering Science or related discipline and degree
• 3 to 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 or IATF 16949, IEC 61508 or ISO 13849, or equivalent knowledge out of other software standards like medical IEC 62304, CMMi or Spice (IEC15504)
• Certification to Functional Safety by an accredited institute is preferred
• Working knowledge of key IT tools (MS Office and SW Quality tools)
• Effective project management skills with proven ability to implement change, educating and engaging others in the organization as necessary
• Ability to travel internationally up to 10%
• Fluent in professional working English
