JOB DESCRIPTION
As Software Engineer you will play an important part in the development projects, developing software in an embedded environment for our new products. You will belong to a department responsible for the development of all our network cameras, from internal platform to mass production.
Your main tasks will be to:
• Participate in product development projects, developing network cameras based on our internal technology platforms.
• Perform analysis, design, implementation and write unit tests of new functionality in our network cameras.
• Integrate and verify software created by other Axis departments.
• Perform advanced debugging of complete embedded systems.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We believe you have a genuine interest in programming and a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or similar. You have experience from C-programming in a Linux environment.
We furthermore think you are a curious and result-oriented person that can work well on your own or in a team. As teamwork is crucial for Axis, it’s important that you can contribute to a good team spirit promoting a creative and stimulating work environment.
In addition to the above, experience from the following areas is desirable:
• Development of embedded systems.
• Debugging tools.
• Photography, optics, and image sensor technology.
• Low-level programming, device drivers, etc.
• Electronics and computer hardware design.
THE NEW VIDEO PRODUCTS DEPARTMENT
The New Video Products department develops new network video products and accessories from idea to mass production using Axis technology platforms. We are about 55 employees in the department divided in three teams with focus on different product areas.
The typical employee has a master's degree in computer science or electronics and works in roles such as software engineer, technical lead, technical expert, camera designer, project manager or line manager. Our goal is to efficiently run product development projects and deliver products to the market with high quality to strengthen Axis' market leading position.
