Our SW development is organized in Function Groups taking responsibility for a defined part of our product. You will be working in the Application Environment Function Group with responsibility for Browsers, Audio/Video input and output, Graphics stack and, Subtitle rendering. Our SW organization has development teams in Shanghai and St Petersburg which we work closely with.
Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
Your main responsibility will be design, implementation and maintenance of SW features in a Linux/C++ environment. We typically work in teams using Agile methods.
Quality is in focus and we rely on every developer to implement extensive automated testing and other safety nets to minimize the effects of regression and provide confidence during development.
As a senior developer you are expected to initiate and participate in improvements, both in our product and our ways of working.
We have high demands on your social skills and ability to contribute and communicate in a team setting. You have the ability to motivate yourself and inspire others.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
• Bachelor or Master of Science within Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar
• Excellent communication skills with track record of contributing in a team environment
• Proficiency in C/C++ programming, object-oriented programming and design patterns
• Experience of software development for Set Top Boxes
• Experience in Linux
• Experience of browser development and integration
• Embedded C/C++ application experience
• Excellent written and spoken Russian.
• Good written and spoken English
• 3+ years of working experience
Other valuable assets:
• Agile methods experience
• Test driven SW development experience
