About the job We are looking for a Software Engineer to join one cross functional team within the Accounting VS, which is part of the BIO Group Functions.
The value stream is focused on developing and maintaining our customer services in a way that supports our strategy in the Accounting area.
In the position as Software Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance and development of Accounting applications built on Oracle and Mainframe platforms (respectively Oracle Financial Accounting Hub and Oracle General Ledger and the REKO systems: HBO, AVE, AVP, FEL, altogether covering the accounting flow for Swedbank AB).

In the Software Engineer role you will be responsible for:

Contribute in all areas: analyze, design, develop, test and maintain services delivered by the team
Proactively reduce the technical depts
Support the APO in finding a good balance between life cycle management, maintenance, regulatory compliance as well as development of new features
Decide on how to build the solution within architecture frames
Readiness to have on-call for the IT services developed and maintained by the CFT on agreed schedule
Solve and deploy solutions of incidents and problems
Continuously update existing documentation for the services
Participate and follow maintenance processes (incident, problem, event as applicable)
Ensure quality awareness and care when designing, building and maintaining software
Proactively seek and give feedback on the delivered code to improve over time
Frequently deliver potentially shippable products iteratively and incrementally, maximizing opportunities for feedback.
Act as team player in the cross functional team and constantly improve the way of working
Plan and estimate the work together with the team members
Collaborate with the APO, business analyst and other roles to refine the product backlog to identify that the most valuable things are being worked on first

What you need to succeed The ideal candidate has/is:

At least 3-5 years of experience as Software Engineer within Oracle and/or Mainframe platforms
Academic degree or on the acquisition in IT, engineering or equivalent or proven technical experience
Proven experience in software development
High level understanding of application structure including hardware for the value stream in concern
Able to perform investigations on assigned tasks alone or in cooperation with team members.
Proven knowledge of one or sveral programming language(s) such as SQL and Cobol, including ability to read and write the code
Able to work with previously created code
Able to test and verify expected result alone or in cooperation with team members
