Our team in Lund develops applications and imaging software for the Nokia Lumia smartphone range.
We are now extending our team with a Web Frontend Software Developer.
The team works with end-to-end solutions from the Nokia Lumia device to the cloud and then to the browser with the goal that consumer should have the same fluid high performance experience on the web as on Lumia device. As part of the team, Web Software Frontend Developer, will be responsible for implementing the web experience.
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate is interested in the newest trends in web development and knows what's hot and what's not. S/he also has a hunger for trying new things and has previous experience in working in small team where end-to-end focus is more prominent than in larger teams.
We expect the candidate have several years of previous relevant work experience and Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Master of Science (MSc) degree in Technology, Telecommunications, Software Engineering or similar field. Also excellent verbal and written communications skills in English are required.
Our ideal candidate also has previous experience/skills from:
• HTML (HTML5)
• CSS (CSS3)
• Javascript
• Web frontend testing
• Multi browser experience, responsive design
• Basics of program development - i.e. experience from team work, experience with source control, bug handling systems
Some of the following knowledge and skills are considered advantage but not mandatory:
• Experience from image/media rich web services like a photo gallery
• One Page Apps
• JS high level framework like Backbone, Knockout, AngularJS
• Backend development - like java, .net or whatever
• Databases - SQL or NoSQL
• Node.js
• MongoDB
• Redis
• AWS, Azure or from other IaaS or PaaS
• A static typed development language
• Experience for development for mobile platforms (windows phone, ios, android)
• Experience from statically typed languages
• GIT
• CoffeeScript
