Toontrack is a developer of software for music production, widely acclaimed for its attention to quality, design and innovation. In 1999, Toontrack changed the industry with the groundbreaking drum sample library Drumkit From Hell®. Today, the company employs 36 people, is world-leading in sampled drums and has extended its product range to include mix tools, software piano instruments and a wide assortment of expansion content. Some of Toontrack's most known brands include EZdrummer®, Superior Drummer®, EZmix® and EZkeys®.
We are hiring a full-time Software Developer at our headquarters in Umeå, Sweden.
Dina arbetsuppgifter
As a Software Developer you will be working in a team of six developers, two Interaction Designers and two Graphic Artists. We normally work in one or two projects at the same time and a project can go on between six to 36 months. You will be responsible for planning and executing the tasks that are assigned to you.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Report to project management on the current state and progress of your tasks.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance of existing tools and applications.
• Research new software development methodologies and technologies and analyzes their application to current and future development needs.
Din profil
Skills Required:
• C++
• Visual Studio or Xcode.
• Physics education and/or experience with the physics of instruments and acoustics.
• Samplers and Romplers.
Skills Preferred:
• Virtual Instruments.
• MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) protocol.
• Electronics.
• Experience working with version control systems (Subversion).
• Unix.
• Perl and JavaScript.
• Good knowledge of Toontrack products.
Good knowledge in the English language is required since we often communicate with non-Swedish speaking team members.
