The group DCU and Switches Electronics within the section Electrics/Electronics & E-Propulsion are responsible for systems and components in all car programs and over the entire life cycle. The responsibility lies within system design, hardware development and software development of e.g. switches, door control units and Interior light system. We establish the requirements for functions, systems and components within our technical area.
We are now looking for a
Software Designer with experience from electrical development. As a software designer you are responsible for the Door Control unit in all car programs. The work is done in teams that consist of system designers, software designers, hardware designers and a task leader. You are in close cooperation with the verification group and several other functions within Volvo Car Group. This work includes many international contacts and is done in cooperation with international suppliers.
Main responsibilities
• Be the link between the system owners at Volvo Car Group and the SW developers at the supplier's
• Break down and clarify the requirements
• Develop the diagnostic strategy and review its implementation
• Responsible for making sure that the SW is correctly verified internally and by the supplier before delivery to different car programs
Required qualifications
• M.Sc. or B.Sc. of Engineering in Data, Electronics or equivalent experience
• Several years experience from Electrical Design
• Knowledge of SW development and quality assurance
• Knowledge of Embedded Systems
• Experience of Matlab and Simulink
• ISO 26262 knowledge
• Experience of SW development in automotive industry
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
