We currently have the following job opening;
Software Configuration Manager - Powertrain Engineering Controls & Calibration
The function area Powertrain Engineering at CEVT is responsible for the development of transmissions and electric propulsion systems and the controls associated with these systems. In the area, the Controls & Calibration unit is responsible for the development and industrialization of the controls for new powertrain systems. Those systems are the main future and global technologies for the Geely group. They are ranging from present combustion engines into new energy concepts. The controls & calibration development is carried out in-house using state-of-the-art methods.
To strengthen our team for future challenges and projects, we are now looking for a software configuration manager.
Role Summary
As configuration manager - Powertrain Engineering Controls & Calibration you are responsible you are responsible of maintaining the software and calibration versions for different project variants. Also software release is within your scope. You are working closely with the other teams within Powertrain Engineering and teams from Geely in China.
Responsibilities and tasks
- Define a configuration management structure and processes for projects in automotive software development
- Propose, plan, document and improve tools designed to automate the software development process
- Maintain software in SVN and calibration in Creta
- Prepare and release software to different customers for different variants
- Monitor and maintain requirement, software development, integration, quality assurance and testing
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar
- At least 5 years' working experience in the automotive industry
- A good understanding of the software development process in the automotive industry
- Experience of configuration management processes (documentation, coordination, optimization, improving of current practices)
- Experience of working with Continuous Integration concepts
- Experience of SVN, INCA and Creta is preferable
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
- Good at English, both in speaking and writing
