BaniTech AB has an opening for a software architect with proven track record of product realization from concept to delivery. We are an early stage startup building a social network and authoring tool for collaborative and creative writing. The prospective candidate must have an advanced degree in computer science or engineering with previous experience in designing complex SaaS applications. The applicant should demonstrate knowledge in all aspects of design, prototyping and development in a dynamic and agile setting associated with early stage startups. Previous experience building client server platforms is a must. The applicant is expected to have relevant work experience as a full-stack engineer and a true appreciation for composing design documents. Our current technology stack includes Javascript, CSS, and HTML5 on the client side and Node.js, Mongodb, Apache and Nginx on the server side. Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and code optimization is highly desired.

In this position, you will architect servers and services that enable our product features and modify and improve our existing servers for scale and performance. You will also be monitoring system uptime and errors to drive us toward a high performing and reliable product. You will also be responsible for monitoring and analyzing our early users interaction with the product and actively improve our product by implementing new features. You will be part of a growing team with ample opportunities to put your stamp on a new and innovative product and services.

Requirements:

• An advanced degree in computer science or engineering (at least MSc.)
• At Least 7 years of relevant work experience.
• Previous experience in a startup setting
• Solid knowledge of Javascript and functional programming
• Strong command of HTML5 web standards, CSS-based design, JSON, cross-browser compatibility and debugging
• Mongodb and data modeling
• Ajax and Restful APIs
• Application localization and internationalization
• Agile development methodology
• User Interface design and usability improvements
• Experience in building for scale and performance
• Drive to proactively fix bugs and solve problems
• A passion for innovation and good grasp of UI/UX design concepts.
