Site Manager

We at NCC Civil Engineering, who work with large Infrastructure projects, have already been assigned and will proceed to take on many new projects that will contribute to the future of the Stockholm and Mälardalen region. We have production teams with expertise in Concrete, Road, Railway and Tunneling. Over the next decade, the region faces very large investments in infrastructure projects such as Förbifarten, the development of the subway and wastewater treatment plants. We see a continued positive development in our business area and need senior Project Managers.

The role
As a site manager you are in charge of one large, or several projects in parallel, and lead the production process together with the site managers and production manager. You have the overall responsibility to complete the project/-s within a specified time, in line with a quality and cost framework, ensuring that customer expectations are met. The role includes supporting the site managers to carry out project/-s with the highest possible productivity and in accordance with NCC's values, policies, laws and agreements as well as from NCC's operating systems. As Project Manager you have budget and personnel responsibility for assigned resources, as well as responsible for customer contacts and resale in ongoing projects. You actively participate in departmental issues and assignments according to a joint action plan. You report to a Production Manager.

Role Requirements
- Several years' experience in a project-related discipline Civil Engineering, Building etc and of working as part of a Project Delivery Team
- Good Communicator and Pro-active demeanor
- Chair technical and progress meetings with subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Manage with tenderers and subcontractors and the client
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and - quality issues
- Knowledge of Risk & Opportunity Management
- Implemented risk mitigation measures as agreed with the project team
- Communicate all issues to update the timescale required and impact to delivery works
- Ensure customer contractual requirements are met.
- Support Site Manager in developing site team communication and report the performance on monthly basis. Escalate any critical resource issues to the Production Manager.
- Ensure that relevant work documentation are in place and approved prior to works commencing
- Internal reports about works status, variations, constraints, next steps, risks and opportunities.- Knowledge of Commercial / Contractual issues
- Monitor the civil budgets and input to the forecast to complete
- Monitor the budget and ensure that actual costs received from subcontractors will not affect the budget / risk contingencies allocated.
- Monitor the scope and record any changes in a change log form highlighting the impact to program and budget. Changes need to be discussed and agreed with superiors and needs to be communicated and recorded in a timely manner, Submit the change log.
- Good understanding of Health & Safety Legislation and Environmental Awareness
- Support the site manager and Site Safety advisor in the development of H&S culture at site level and in organizing audits of subcontractors.
- Undertake safety observation tours on site and document findings; report hazards and near misses immediately to site manager.
- Organize lessons learned meetings at site level and capture lessons learned in a specific report.
- Proactively manage input to the health and safety and quality objectives of the project.
- Include headquarters strategy, initiatives, mandates, strategy, processes etc.
- Abide by all business compliance requirements in line with Company policies such as Business Conduct Guidelines & Confidential Information.

Your experience
For this role you must have 3-5 years of documented experience from a similar position and a production engineering or building technology education. International experience is desirable. You have a very good knowledge of the production process, focusing on planning, production calculations, financial monitoring and production methods etc. You are used to operate in and run construction projects, have good leadership skills and are interested in developing employees. You create and maintain good relationships both internally and externally.

B driving license is a requirement and you are fluent in English.
