About the position
Perido are now proactively looking for Simulation Engineers within either CFD (computational fluid dynamic) or FEM (finite element method) to our client. They're a world-leading supplier of transport solutions that together with its customers and partners are driving the transition to a sustainable transport system. You will be working at the office in Södertälje.
Your daily tasks
You either work with CFD or FEM. This is what sets them apart:
Simulation Engineer - CFD
Your role involves assisting industrial and mechanical designers in enhancing exterior components for aerodynamic performance and reducing soiling. Analyzing CFD results enables you to offer rapid feedback and recommendations on design modifications for enhanced performance. Continuously refining our methods and tools is an integral aspect of daily operations.
Simulation Engineer - FEM
Your role entails assisting design engineers in enhancing components for strength and durability. Another critical aspect is devising sustainable solutions and proposing ideas that mitigate our environmental footprint.
Typical tasks include:
Conducting FEM simulations and suggesting design alterations based on findings
Crafting comprehensive and lucid presentations and reports
Collaborating with test engineers to correlate and contrast FEM outcomes with component failures observed in extensive physical tests
Enhancing simulation techniques to boost accuracy and reduce simulation duration
Your characteristics
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who likes to work in a team and seek information independently while sharing their knowledge and experiences with others. We also think you are well-organized and detail-oriented. Furthermore, have strong communication skills and am service-minded, independent, and self-motivated.

Qualifications:
For CFD:
Relevant experience in the automotive industry
Experience in aerodynamic simulations in the automotive industry (preferably heavy vehicles)
Experience in handling and meshing large complex models (preferably in ANSA)
Powerflow is a plus
For Fem:
Relevant experience in the automotive industry
Experience with Hypermesh and Abaqus
Experience in fatigue and strength calculations
Competence in programming (preferably Python) is a plus
Contract type and hours
Full-time, consulting assignment for at least 12 months, with a possibility of extension. Start according to agreement.
