IT-Technician

As an It-Technician you will coordinate problem identification and resolution, track and report Service Desk activities and follow internal escalation routines. You will be part of a global IT and Service Desk team. The objective is to operate, maintain, and provide ongoing technical IT support for Shiloh Europe locations.

Key responsibilities:
• Provide end-user software troubleshooting and support for all software and hardware needs of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN/WAN systems
• Coordinate procurement, setup, distribution, inventory, imaging and maintenance of all end user technologies; use asset inventory system to track hardware and software and maintain compliance.
• Administer systems and users in Active Directory, System Center Configurator Manager, TrendMicro antivirus system and TeamViewer tools.
• Maintain and repair broken hardware and/or coordinate software and hardware vendors to request service regarding defective products.
• Provide accurate record of work assigned in a service management tracking tool; monitor all open issues to ensure business and customer expectations are met, provide periodic updates, and promote customer advocacy.
• Report system problems to appropriate technical/management staff and confer with them to resolve production issues.
• Perform system analysis techniques and procedures, including cross-functional discussions, to determine hardware, software or system functional specifications. Consult and develop new systems and/or processes to improve production.
• Supports local data center operations including facility infrastructure support for HVAC, generator, UPS and related electrical systems.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field; min. 2 years related experience
• Fluent in English and Swedish - both written and spoken. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure documentation.
• Analytical Skills - ability to analyze technical issues; data collection and analysis; reasoning abilities
• Computer Skills - for desktop computing and server environments
• Customer Service skills and highly service minded
• Excellent communication skills including ability to in a pedagogic way describe complex problems to internal customers
• Teamwork and cooperation
• Ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours; on-call responsibilities
