Job Mission
The Service Runtime Manager (SRM) ensures the Service in runtime which means managing, operating and maintaining the service in production according to Operational Level Agreement (OLA) by coordinating activities related to the infrastructure and applications from the availability and quality perspective.

The SRM is assigned per service, service area or application portfolio and appointed by Service Operation line management.

This job occurs at Professional Development Steps C and D.

Job Context
The Service Runtime Manager is primarily working towards maintaining, supporting and controlling a secure and stable production environment for delivery of services (business applications or infrastructure services) to meet all the agreed OLA requirements and targets.

The SRM will act as the main contact person for the service in runtime towards infrastructure service or application delivery.


Responsibilities and Powers
Responsibilities at Professional Development Step C
• Ensure productivity, quality and conformity of the service with the existing standards.
• Ensure efficiency (quality, availability, reliability) of the runtime service
• Ensure the service in runtime according to OLA
• Manage service according to financial plans and optimizing production costs
• Ensure the runtime service has adequate quality measurement mechanisms. Measure performance indicators of the runtime service and trigger corrective actions, as required.
• Coordinate the production organization in reaching and improving the operational, availability and quality parameters that affect the service
• Review and approve changes in production and participate in Change Advisory Boards(CAB)
• Follow up on volumes and give input to Capacity Management
• Ensure availability management, provide security and service continuity plans as defined in the OLA
• Manage and maintain a service production plan for the assigned service, containing the details related to service operations and short and long-term improvements of operational, availability and quality aspects
• Operate application in runtime and establish the AOM service for application portfolios
• Drive and ensure that AOM and Infrastructure services are managed according to decided processes
• Act proactively by making improvement recommendations towards achieving and improving the availability and quality targets
• Ensure OLA demands are clearly understood and communicated among Infrastructure delivery and the manager of the delivery of the service.
• Follow up on OLA and report quality
• Optimize costs for operations of the service
• Participate in the Service Level reviews
• Engage as needed in one time deliveries to secure production services
• As workplace SRM, extensive knowledge on client infrastructure management, active directory management, exchange servers, windows expertise - functional, Skype and windows security management.

• Negotiate, sign and maintain the Operational Level Agreement
• Manage global resources and multi-site service architecture
• Contribute to improve global methods/standards
• Mentor Service Runtime Managers
• Proactively implement the IT Service strategy within given authority
