hela Sverige Role Summary/Purpose:
Global Service Engineering is as a team responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of service product features, technical publications, training, global parts availability, and service process validation. The position requires communication with all functions in the organization and will be involved in the full life cycle of the product from definition to verification/validation and installed base support.
Duties include (but are not limited to):
• Defining procedures for field modifications, calibrations, and part replacements
• Owning product and subsystem requirements related to serviceability and diagnosis
• Setting spare part strategies and interfacing with external organizations such as Service Operations, Service Product Management and Global Supply Chain
• Providing high quality service deliverables within the scope of New Product Introduction projects and Product Care activities
• Driving technical solutions and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology
• Maintaining effective quality systems compliant with GE Quality policies and Six Sigma standards
• Ensure cross-functional Services teams are involved in NPI launches to promote Service offerings/growth as appropriate (example includes Qualification Services - IQOQ)
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Significant years' relevant work experience
• Self-motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and learn quickly
• Understand that the customers determine our success
• Demonstrated technical domain knowledge by being current on engineering design principles, architectures and advancements in engineering concepts and technologies
• Effective communication skills and boundless behaviour-ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
• Demonstrated technical depth with problem-solving techniques
• Experience of working in project teams meeting deadlines and deliverables
• Fluent speaking and writing in English language
Desired Characteristics:
• Experience of IT infrastructure and DBA
• Experience working in a Service or Systems Engineering team
• Experience from the Life Sciences business
• Hands-on approach with regards to installations, upgrades and repairs
• Design For Reliability (DFR) or Design For Serviceability (DFS) experience
• Experience of PDM-systems (Magic)
• Experience of defining requirement specifications
• Experience of technical writing
