THE DEPARTMENT AND THE TEAM
At Scania, we are putting the customer first, delivering exceptional experiences worldwide. Join our Service Portfolio and Delivery department within the Sales and Marketing function, where we harness data from our vehicles to craft cutting-edge digital services for a global customer portfolio.
The design team you will be part of is a powerhouse of design consisting of 20 User Experience and User Interface designers working closely with a team of Service Designers. You will also be part of an agile product team which will be your delivery team.
You will have the chance to design digital services that support our customers who own Scania vehicles to manage their fleet and electrified vehicles.
THE ROLE
As a Senior UX Designer, you're not just designing interfaces; you're steering our mission and vision. You will collaborate with key stakeholders like Product Managers, Product Owners, Service Designers, User Interface Designers, and Front-end Developers aiming to relentlessly deliver high quality, useful and desirable solutions to our customers.
You will be the one responsible for designing and delivering interfaces of exceptional quality. You will apply design thinking, conduct user research and usability testing, translating data analytics and customer insights into user flows, prototypes and final designs.
You will be the one leading the discussions with Business and Tech teams, to secure that we create interfaces with functionalities that are viable, feasible but first and foremost desirable. You will be the user expert and user advocate in every room, always asking why, and striving to prioritize the right things for the users.
YOUR PROFILE
* 5+ years of experience as a UX designer
* Educational background in Interaction Design or similar (master's degree is preferred and considered a plus)
* Excellent skills in Figma for quick low and high-fidelity prototyping
* Very experienced with using design systems
* Exceptional ability to co-operate with engineers in the solution space and basic understanding of front-end development
* Fluent in working with technical constrains when designing experiences
* Ability to create and continuously improve user interaction flows, with emphasis in efficiency, effectiveness and intuitiveness
* Ability to cooperate in an exceptional way and facilitate workshops with Business and Tech stakeholders, translating business and tech demands/requirements into designs, putting the user in the centre
* Great storytelling and exceptional presentation skills as well as ability to adapt to the audience - business versus technical stakeholders
* You can effectively communicate ideas, design decisions, and recommendations to stakeholders, as well as motivating your design ideas.
* Experienced in UX Research and translating user behaviour analytics and customer insights into designs
* Experienced in Usability testing and in setting up experiments using data
* A great team player and a persuasive thinker
* You are great and consistent at giving as well as asking for constructive design and personal feedback, while keeping it on the level of a creative conflict and an opportunity for self-development
* You will drive and support in developing our UX competences in the UX team
* Experience within Transportation or B2B companies is a plus
* You have a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates design skills and ability to create visually appealing, user-friendly interfaces (Portfolio is mandatory and applications without a portfolio of work will not be considered)
* Highly proficient in spoken and written English
