The focus is on whether the interactions, process, flow, and overall experience of the application works for the end user. We are also initiating a big project with the goal to make the current product fully mobile responsive which you will responsible for selecting and implement the technology stack for.
You'll be responsible for the user interface of our client's web applications. regardless if it will be displayed on a mobile device or a desktop. As a UI developer, you are responsible for technical decisions and peer reviews concerning HTML, CSS and JavaScript. You ensure that our UIs are as consistent, good looking and manageable as the code that supports it.
Together with your peers, you will be responsible for the technical design, implementation and code quality of the features you are assigned to work on.
Main tasks:
Design, code, test, and document rails applications
Review code
Add tests to code and write testable code
Lead client meetings to capture business requirements
Coach and teach the other team members about frontend strategies
Present your work internally and to client stakeholders
You are a Senior UI / Frontend developer (minimum 5yrs experience but preferably longer) with experience of developing business critical web applications with high requirements on excellence and usability. It's not a mandatory requirement but if you have experience of different Javascript frontend libraries such as Bootstrap, Angular or React etc. it is a big advantage. We also think that you are the person that like to work together in a dynamic team with a curious, ego-less and solution oriented approach.
Understanding of user experience graphic design
Deep knowledge of coding for browsers; HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Understanding of jQuery, CoffeeScript, SASS -Knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and utilities
Basic knowledge about how web servers operate
Experience of building responsive applications and APIs
Fluent in English
Business-minded: ability to think about the result, and not only the process
Bonus points: experience in agile development processes

Now it's time for the design review meeting of the latest feature the product manager wanted. We in Promote firmly believe that the coders know best how things should be developed. With some of the other developers you together find the optimal solution for the new feature. The result is a consensus how to proceed and a couple of new user stories added to the board. Great work!
When you are done with your ticket someone might ping you on flowdock that you need to review one of your colleagues pull requests and merge it to the master branch.
