Vehicle Engineering organize attribute centra (NVH, Safety, Durability, Ergonomics & Craftmanship, Environment & Fluid Dynamics), lead attribute integration and balancing in the vehicle programs, and validate that the product meet customer demands.
NVH Center VCC:
The main focus for the NVH operations is to develop cars fulfilling both customer demands and legal requirements. By organizing and developing core competence and advanced methods regarding sub system and overall vehicle level NVH and sound quality, our work support the programs in delivering premium products. The continuous strategy work leading to vehicle level target setting, and furthermore cascaded system level targets is the base for the operations. This is the input to system and component design, all the way supported by CAE and test based analysis, finally verified in full prototypes and followed up in production. Testing is conducted in test cells covering components up to full vehicles, and on test tracks or road.
The department is also responsible for carrying out test for verification.
Position Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead sub attribute / TS including balancing:
PT NVH & Sound Quality
Road NVH
Wind noise
Operational Sound Quality
Lead development of technical competence and methods within the attribute area and throughout VCC
Secure a consistent and steady growth within each sub-attribute area in terms of competence and method development
Create NVH awareness internally through seminars and courses. Establish and maintain external national and international subject matter expert networks
Lead to raise the priority of NVH within all VCC customer attributes
through awareness and training
Lead development of targets setting and cascading to translate customer needs and to the right competitive set level
Secure expert knowledge in critical project phases, in order to find
quick solutions to technically complicated problems
Lead NVH hardware design /compatibility leadership to achieve the most cost effective NVH solutions.
Qualifications Required:
Strong theoretical background in all sub-attributes within Vehicle NVH & Sound Quality
Extensive (20 years or more) experience from NVH work with vehicle programs and knowledge on NVH related hardware.
Extensive knowledge in strategies/synthesis to achieve NVH targets on vehicle and system level.
Strong record of technical innovation/contribution/leadership resulting in implementation of NVH methods in product development
Strong background and knowledge on the latest CAE methods/tools to lead up-front NVH design
Excellent communicative skills are required.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
Have customer focus and drive for results
Ability to build and lead teams with analytical focus
