Our history dates back to 2001 when we were an integrated part of PacketFront. As of October 2015 the company name is Waystream. The company is located in Kista just north of Stockholm, Sweden. Waystream sells Gigabit To The Home (GTTH) routers and switches to network operators in Layer 2 and Layer 3 broadband networks and has installations in 25* countries. The company markets several brands; ASR, ServiceEngine and MetroStar being the most well known. The company also develops its own operating system iBOS which is an industry standard CLI used to configure all Waystream routers and switches.
Dina arbetsuppgifterYou will work with truly inspiring and skilled people on a variety of products and systems. As a part of our Scrum Teams you will translate customer needs into high-quality and innovative products. Your role will be to break down customer high level feature requirements from our Product Manager into software implementation requirements, tasks and use cases. You will be splitting down the feature requirements to fit together with the existing features and protocols. You will also work together with the scrum teams performing pre-studies when needed and prioritize pre-study tasks in the right backlog order. You assure that the backlog is aligned in accordance with the Product Managers Road Map and in sync with the release plan that you, the Project Manager and Product Manager set up. Depending on the candidate - there is a possibility to take on the role as Product Owner towards the Scrum Teams. Most of the software development is done in C language in a UNIX environment, but we also use Python scripting. We have well defined and efficient and processes for test and documentation.
Utbildning och erfarenhetYou need to have the following qualifications: A university degree within engineering or similar. At least seven years of experience from networking products such as routers, switches or firewall products. Excellent knowledge of the following data- and network communication protocols is a MUST: Ethernet, IP, DHCP, OSPF, IGMP, BGP, IGMP, PIM and MPLS. Good requirement analyzing skills. Fluent English skills. You are also known for your good team working ability and your willingness to take initiative. We expect you to be structured and have strong analytic and problem solving skills.
