Senior System Engineer Air and Gas Management

In Powertrain engineering we are looking for a Senior System Engineer. This position will be appointed in the Air and Gas Management design group in the Combustion department. The team is responsible to develop sub systems for engine's Air handling, such as EGR, Pre heating, Turbo and Engine brake (compression brake). The team is responsibility to develop, verify and validate system and components to well defined targets. As a system engineer you will also be a part of the powertrain system engineering team covering the complete engine.

The System Engineer is responsible for the Air and Gas Management system on a global level for our heavy duty engine platform. Through collaboration with other system engineers, other sites and cross functional stakeholders you will balance and define system requirements, set system roadmaps and recommend system solutions to projects. The global system engineer is active in the complete lifecycle of the system and in particular lead activities from pre-development to early phases in engine projects.

What are we looking for?
To succeed and have fun in the position we believe you are knowledgeable in both internal combustion theory, engine controls systems and hardware design. The global system engineer presents system recommendations and strategies in both different management- and engineering forums. It is therefore important with good communication abilities. To drive the work of closing knowledge gaps and to create technical offers meeting our customers' requirements it 's important to be self-motivated and a self-starter. The global system engineer will lead development activities with stakeholders from different technical disciplines and from different cultures. Team work, respect for the individual and energy are key words for us.

• Master of science / PhD or similar technical knowledge
• At least 5 year's experience in powertrain development
