CoreChange is hiring on behalf of our client for an exciting opportunity in Kista/Stockholm.
Position: Senior Specialist Modem Algorithm Design
Industry: Telecommunications
Location: Kista/Stockholm.
Start Date: ASAP - 6 months + Extensions
Job Type: Consultant
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the physical layer algorithms research in particular related to LTE-A and 5G. Naturally, it covers development of new LTE-A and 5G features in order to improve performance and reduce implementation complexity. Analyze and define the problem(s), derive, identify and define potential algorithm(s), perform computer simulations (e.g., link level simulation). Document, patent and publish the idea in journals and on conferences. The work will be done in close cooperation with other organizations within the company.
Experience and Skills:
To be successful in this role the candidate should have more than 10 years industrial experience in wireless baseband R&D and strong background in wireless communications,i.e., familiar with LTE and its evolutions, good knowledge on PHY Layer, MIMO, detection, estimation, communication theory, and have high focus on delivering high quality work. Familiar with Matlab, C, C++ languages, and scripting (Perl, python, etc.).
A PhD Degree or higher in computer science, EE, wireless communication or equivalent background is required. Prior experience from international and multicultural work is preferred. As we are a global company the candidate must be able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Good social and networking skills to support teamwork in project groups as well as the ability to work independently.
