Our Technology teams are responsible of the development and operation of our global connectivity backend platform - and your experience is needed.
We are now looking for a Solution Architect for the PKI Services product team within Supporting Services.
PKI Services includes features to be able to manage a secure connectivity for our connected vehicles and make sure all communication back and from are done with the highest possible reliability.
The Position
The main responsibility of the role as Solution Architect is to bridge business challenges and technical solutions within the product area for PKI Services in close collaboration with other stakeholders in the PKI community such as Global Trucks Operation, Aftermarket, Global Trucks Technology, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Bus and other Volvo Brands.
Identifying the best solutions for business challenges will be at the core of everything you do, which entails analysis, design creation and enhancing existing services for the future. You will drive the design of micro services for the PKI Services products, learn our development platform and collaborate with many different teams and internal stakeholders.
Features of the role are:
Through a holistic solution view, design services optimized both for business need, costs and maintainability
Describe structures, characteristics, and other aspects of the design for the Development backend team
Drive reviews of architecture concepts and solutions
Perform presentation of solutions to stakeholders
Your Profile

Several years of experience as Architect in an international environment
Ability to inspire and motivate stakeholders, individuals and teams
Great communication and presentation skills
Ability to build relationships and bridge Business with Technology
A global and agile mindset with strong customer focus
Fluent in English - both written and spoken
Valid work-permit for Sweden, if not EU-citizen
We believe that you will learn our technical platform on the job, but in short it is mainly an event driven micro service architecture running in AWS cloud. Java is the main programming language, and we work with continuous delivery with infrastructure as code. Backend services are running on Spring Boot and typically communicate through REST and JMS. We use both relational databases (PostgreSQL) as well as document-oriented (MongoDB). We work in a variant of SAFe with agile teams and PI planning.
