hela Sverige An excellent opportunity for an accomplished tester/QA engineer to take a leading role in Autodesk's quality assurance work for our Gothenburg team.
You will be joining a team responsible for inventing and developing the core graphics and rendering technologies used throughout Autodesk's product suites, including famous software such as Maya, 3dsMax, AutoCAD and Inventor. The team is also responsible for the development of Showcase - Autodesk's primary software for design visualization and interactive story telling.
The Autodesk programmer team develop tool kits and software to enhance our technology. We are building upon the technologies from the well-known Gothenburg start-up companies Opticore and Illuminate Labs as well as other core Autodesk technologies. The primary focus is on ray tracing, but advanced GPU effects are also part of the package. We aim to increase the capabilities and ease of use of our software and we want you to add your expertise to our team. Ultimately, the results of your work here will reach the millions of users of Autodesk products throughout the world.
As our new testing lead you will primarily be providing Quality Assurance evaluation from design through to product release by active participation in the requirements definition, design, development and testing of Autodesk software and tool kits. Experience of working with Agile and Scrum methodologies would be beneficial. You will liaise closely with the feature development teams and international testing teams to develop end-to-end testing systems.
Responsibilities
Work with the Product Owner(s) and Product Design to understand and help refine the functional and non-functional requirements.
Design and execute test plans for products/functionality to be tested.
Partner with development and user experience design groups to integrate QA into the overall software development lifecycle.
Contribute to cost/benefit analysis by providing feasibility determination and effort estimates. Consult with team members to determine feature priority.
Distil user stories and test cases from disparate sources.
Design/implement high quality, robust features, scripts, and harnesses in VB script.
Proactively participate in maintaining team standards and best practices.
Track progress with respect to plan and inform manager of issues or delays.
Participate in or lead scrum teams including programmers and testers.
Requirements
MSc or equivalent education/experience.
Experience working as a testing lead.
Experience of or interest in computer graphics.
Experience in test automation and ability to program tests would be beneficial.
Great at finding bugs and creating reproducible steps to trigger them.
Ability to distill and refine requirements to be testable.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English.
Experience with the software development process and life cycle.
Self-directed, willing to take initiative and requires minimal supervision.
Ability to work on multiple complex projects simultaneously.
