We are now looking for 1-2 experienced Senior Service Designers. This position is located in Bromma, Stockholm.
What you will do
You are a multi-skilled person, who feels comfortable working with and leading teams in design research, analysis, strategy, creative ideation and service implementation. You have a broad experience of service design methodology including ethnographic research, co-creation, journey mapping, blueprinting, experience prototyping and user testing of service solutions in both early and late stages of development.
As a strategist, you are expected to drive and own the process of interpreting research findings, formulate actionable insights and drive the development of new concepts and innovative service and user experience solutions, based on a solid business understanding. You are comfortable working with business model development can creatively work to challenge existing ways of service delivery. You bring a high-level perspective and comfortably zoom in and out of the entire ecosystem of a product, service or system.
You are a highly communicative individual with a collaborative approach. You are used to lead time pressured and complicated projects, working in multidisciplinary teams and you feel comfortable navigating through multiple stakeholder groups. You have considerable experience from working with or within large complex organizations, with the challenges that brings. You are a good facilitator, presenter and storyteller. You are an authority and a keen speaker and are passionate about your area. Published articles and blog posts on the topic will be considered a merit.
You have at least 5 years' experience of end-to-end service design projects where you have been responsible for project leadership and client relationship. International experience is a prerequisite.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in service design (preferably), interaction design, design management or a business degree
- 5-7 years, or more, of professional experience in design consultancy or in-house designer/strategist role
- Thorough understanding of people driven design processes and principles, qualitative/quantitative research and contemporary design methodologies
- Excellent client-facing skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and concisely. Comfortable working closely with executive level clients and experts
- Strong problem-solving skills and high analytical and creative capability
- Experience from leading dynamic, multidisciplinary teams in client projects with high level of complexity
- Experience with client negotiation and setting expectations against real world limitations
- A natural self-starter that keeps project momentum going and creates an environment in which team members are motivated to do their best
- Ability to clearly and confidently present a story and explain design decisions internally and to clients
- Responsible, punctual, and adept at managing tight deadlines with an ability to multi-task and take on several projects and client relationships
- Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication, presentation and storytelling skills; additional languages spoken considered a plus. Good skills in Swedish will be considered a merit but it is not a requirement.
- Flexible with ability and curiosity to travel
