Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
Nordregio is currently seeking to expand its team of senior level research staff working with regional and territorial development at different scales. A successful applicant will have extensive experience in the following two fields: Territorial and multi-level governance, i.e. studies of the implementation of policies, programmes and projects for the development of a place or a region incl. coordination of actions and facilitation of stakeholder involvement, for example in the field of Maritime Spatial Planning and cross-border cooperation . EU and national regional policies, including policy analysis, spatial analysis and evaluation of regional programmes or structural funds Furthermore, as a researcher at Nordregio you are also expected to participate in other projects covering Nordregio's topics and thematic fields.
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
With the responsibility to initiate, attract and lead externally funded research and innovation projects, a Senior Research Fellow requires you to be experienced in project development and project management. The geographic scope of your field of interest includes a European and/or Baltic perspective and preferably expert knowledge in at least one of the Nordic countries. Formally, you hold a PhD in economics, political science, sociology, human geography, statistics, or an associated discipline. In addition, you have at least 6 years of relevant work experience; and combined, you bring an extensive network of research and policy contacts with you to Nordregio.

Nordregio intends the position to be full time. We offer competitive salaries and term contracts with a maximum length of four years. After further agreement the contract can be renewed for an additional four-year period.
