Gimo inserts production (GH), part of Sandvik Coromant, is responsible for the manufacturing of inserts including pressing, sintering, grinding, pre-treatment and finishing. We constantly strive to ensure the quality of product development projects within our production. We are now looking for a driven Senior Project Manager, with a passion for product development and interacting with different parts of the business, who takes pride in solving the unexpected together with others.
Key performance areas
As Senior Project Manager, you are a part of a company on the leading edge of technological development, and have the opportunity to work with everyday improvements and to challenge existing work methods and processes. In this position, you collaborate with your team to efficiently manage and deliver projects to support the production of inserts, with the objective of reaching the investment forecast set by GH management, and to introduce new products according to the project portfolio set by Coromant management. You ensure alignment with our project model and the long-term strategy for Sandvik Coromant. Running a number of projects on a global level and interacting with other units worldwide are important parts of your work, and you make sure that our projects have the best possible support in the continuous development of their operations. You carefully plan, organize, monitor, execute and control projects, ensuring project delivery on time, as budgeted and within the specified scope and quality.
As you communicate effectively with the project team and partners, you lead, manage, coach and motivate your team members; follow up and report on project status; and take responsibility for the completion of projects. Using your extensive experience, combined with your drive and development skills, you play an important part in the team's improvement of our ways of working with project management.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a degree in Engineering, or equivalent knowledge gained from a working career, and with a passion for technology. You have experience from managing projects and documented experience from leading complex projects - working in diverse teams with mixed competencies and from different areas of the business. Experiences related to project administration and budget management are important in this position, as well as knowledge of MS Office and MS Project. To be successful in this position, you need fluency in Swedish and, as we work in an international setting, fluency in English is also crucial, both verbally and in writing.
