We are now looking for a senior project buyer for Exhaust AfterTreatment System portfolio, located in Sweden (Göteborg).
You will join a passionate team, creating business value in an open and multicultural, dynamic, on highly innovative products of the powertrain area.

Your main challenges will be to contribute to Volvo new projects developments, being an active member in the global network of commodity and projects buyers, in order to select the right suppliers, and to continuously secure the best supplier QDCFTSR performance (Quality, Delivery, Cost, Feature, Technology, Sustainability and Risk Management).
The Project Buyer is the Purchasing interface towards projects and suppliers on his segments during the entire project phase. He is responsible to secure that the project QDCFTSR targets are met, and maintained.

Core responsibities:
• Provide input on supplier project performance to the commodity buyer
• Develop the sourcing plan for the complete EATS system (*), according to cross functional components time plan
• Manage the sourcing activities in project phase until the supplier selection, securing that supplier selection complies to the project targets/budget (sourcing deadline, tooling/development cost...)
• Ensure deliverables from suppliers to fulfill APQP activities managed by SQE
• Challenge, negotiate, & report changes after contract signature and ensure continuous fulfillment of project targets
• Manage parts and orders in project phase and ensure a timely part transfer in the system to the commodity buyer
• Ensure that the supplier is prepared for production, including capacity and all needed system updates (Parma codes, EDI connection...)
• Manage project performance reviews with suppliers and stakeholders(*) EATS portfolio main characteristics and challenges: Top strategic components for a yearly spend of more than 400 MEUR, including Tier1, 2 & 3 supply chain management

Qualifications:
• Several years purchasing experience, preferably in automotive business
• Business acumen
• Purchasing and negotiation experience
• Motivated by change management and ability to drive change
• Master of Science or Business Administration
• Excellent spoken and written English
